Product Details Anyone can draw; all it takes is a pencil, paper and a little practice. The Drawing Mentor series of books breaks down drawing into simple easy to understand subjects, each are filled with detailed explanations, examples and exercises, that way you can get the exact lesson you need based on your skill level and skip the lessons you don’t need. For those who are just learning to draw, we recommend starting at the beginning, for those who have already developed their drawing technique the later lessons with their more advanced step by step projects may be more appropriate. Currently there are 14 Drawing Mentor books in the series with subjects ranging from drawing simple lines to 3D perspective and shading, to realistic portrait drawing. We hope to continue to produce more volumes based on your wants and needs.
Volume 14 is a more advanced lesson that uses the skills developed in previous lessons to do a finished drawing of a dragon. This lesson will explain what fantasy drawing is, some things to take into consideration when drawing fantasy, and then take you through a step by step example to help you complete a fantasy drawing of a dragon. Each step is explained and detailed pictures are provided to help you follow along. (This lesson assumes that you have already developed fundamental drawing skills. Before attempting this lesson it is recommended that you first learn and understand sketching and layout, and how to apply tone, shading and highlights. If you have not developed these skills please refer to previous volumes.)
In the end, the goal of the Drawing Mentor series is to provide lessons, examples and practice exercises which will give you the knowledge and skills you need to be able to draw anything you can see or imagine. |
